New Vacancy – Paralegal (ABL)
The main purpose of this job is to provide administrative support to the Asset Based Lending Department.
Location: King Street, Manchester
Working hours: Monday-Friday, 37 hours per week
Salary: Depending on experience
Main responsibilities:
- Carrying out general administrative support duties.
- Opening files and carrying out conflict checks on the case management system.
- Recording all payments to the case management system and individual case payment plan/docs (subject to training and supervision as below).
- General file financial administration (subject to training and supervision as below).
- Arranging payment(s) out to client as required (subject to training and supervision as below)
- Standard emails and letters out to clients and debtors as required (subject to training and supervision as below)
- Answering incoming calls and correspondence from clients, Debtors and other professionals and delivering messages accurately and efficiently.
- Issuing letters before action and winding up notices.
- Issue court applications for Charging Orders, HCO, attachment of Earnings and orders to attend.
- Issue and serve County court proceedings, Statutory Demands and Bankruptcy / Wind-up Petitions
Skills Required
Essential:
- Good standard of computer literacy and keyboard skills
- Good communication skills
- Demonstrates a commitment to delivering excellent customer service
- Good standard of literacy, numeracy and attention to detail
- Professional manner both by phone and face to face
- Organisational skills and the ability to multitask
Desirable: Awareness of work undertaken in a solicitor’s office

Qualifications Required
The successful candidate must have achieved a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including both Maths and English (or equivalent).
Additional Information
Candidates should be willing and able to work Monday-Thursday 9:00 am-5:30 pm and Fridays, 9:00 am-5:00 pm.
