Job Title: Banking Lawyer
Location: Manchester Office
Hours: Monday – Thursday 9am – 5:30pm Friday 9am – 5pm
Salary: Will be dependent on experience
Purpose of the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Banking Solicitor or Associate (depending on experience) at 3-6 Year PQE level to join our Asset Based Lending team. The existing team is friendly, welcoming and hard-working and we are seeking a like-minded individual.
Key Duties:
- Responsibility for progressing a caseload from start to finish, with training/supervision as required from senior team members.
- Making and receiving calls to clients, solicitors and third parties involved in the transaction.
- Responding promptly to requests for updates and information from clients and introducers.
- Preparing banking security documentation and finance agreements for review by the supervising fee earner.
- Reviewing supply contracts for quality of debt issues and SPA’s where the client is funding an acquisition.
- Reviewing asset finance documents for sign off by back-to-back funders.
- Transaction management and dealing with funds flow.
- Assisting in the development of trainees/paralegals within the team.
- Generally supporting and assisting a busy team.
- Dealing with files at completion and post-completion stage.
Skills and experience required:
- 3-6 years PQE with previous experience in commercial finance advisory and transactional work. We will consider applications from solicitors who have experience in other transactional practice areas and are willing to learn new skills in commercial finance.
- Demonstratable experience in working diligently towards client deadlines.
- Excellent organisation, time-management and communication skills.
- A personable and hard-working nature.
- On the roll of Solicitors.
